Quality Policy

Quality Policy

(1) The CDM Center shall ensure the credibility, independence, non-discrimination, transparency and impartiality in undertaking the business required of JCI as a DOE/AIE under the Kyoto Protocol (signed on December 11, 1997) and shall further ensure that all organizations shall be able to receive the services of this center.
The CDM Center shall also ensure that the procedures for undertaking business shall be non-discriminatory.
Contribution to the preservation of the earth's environment and sustainable development shall be targeted through impartiality in CDM/JI projects and appropriate validation/determination on PDD, verification/determination on monitoring, and certification/JI-verification.

(2) In undertaking the business of a DOE/AIE under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the CDM Center shall not be subject to commercial or financial pressure nor any restraint from any international body, government or governmental body, municipal body, private organizations, nor individuals other than those that comprise the CDM Center that influence the appropriate content of validation/determination on PDD, verification/determination on monitoring, and certification/ JI-verification, the process of such work or decisions taken.

(3) The CDM Center shall, in order to ensure quality and the appropriate implementation of the validation/determination on PDD, verification/determination on monitoring, and certification/JI-verification establish a quality system.
At the same time, executives and staffs of the CDM Center shall achieve improvements in their individual knowledge and work in order to improve in quality.


Action Guidelines

(1)Based on the above quality policy, the CDM Center shall, as a public interest corporation established under the Civil Code, abide by the various laws as well as the Civil Code of Japan and shall conduct the validation/determination on PDD, verification/determination on monitoring, and certification/JI-verification with credibility, independence, non-discrimination, transparency and impartiality and shall constantly work towards maintaining a high quality in validation/determination on PDD, verification/determination on monitoring, and certification/ JI-verification.

(2)The CDM Center shall not perform any work as a DOE with respect to the projects that some other organizations of JCI have undertaken, are undertaking or clearly intend to undertake as business related CDM/JI, and in addition, with respect to the projects that the Members of JCI in the sense as used in the Civil Code of JAPAN (hereinafter referred to as gthe Membersh) have undertaken, are undertaking or clearly intend to undertake as CDM/JI project participants.
